Seamus MacLeod was raised in the Highlands of Scotland, the son of a farmer. At the age of 14, sick of the farm (and his half brother Corwyn), he joined a mercenary unit and began a 5-year march across Southern Europe. He then began working the shipping lanes as a sell-sword, finally hooking up with the Vrijbuit Shipping Company as the first mate on the Silver Rose.

Seamus was then given the captaincy of the Inferno, a Spanish Galleon. After years of successful priveering, it was destroyed in an explosion during MacLeod's wedding. His Captaincy was stripped and held pending further investigation. He spent the next two years serving on board the Rose again, until his title was returned to him following Captain's Mast. Hired on as Bosun of the PoohBe�r, and given command of the harbor ferry, he is not a happy man.

MacLeod can be considered dangerous. He values life as much as any professional soldier; that is, not at all. He will kill you if it serves his purpose, just to get you out of his way. Alliances with him are a two-edged sword. If you no longer are of use to him, you are probably dead.
